Faculty Enhancement Opportunity – FEO
The 8th round (Spring 2012) of the FEO (Faculty Enhancement Opportunity) project should be announced by Provost Glover. The FEO project is a wonderful opportunity for College of Medicine faculty (Gainesville and Jacksonville). As part of the application process, applications from COM faculty MUST be submitted to the College of Medicine FEO committee for review. Your COM FEO committee will review all applications and present the meritorious applications to the Dean’s office for concurrence. Applications will then be forwarded to the Provost and the campus-wide FEO Task Force, which will approve the applications to be funded.
The FEO Taks Force encourages applications for creative and flexible faculty development activities, including, but not limited to educational experiences/conferences, work with consultants/experts, time devoted to intensive writing or creative work, activities in support of a new direction for one’s scholarly work.
A COM specific application form is available (see link below). All faculty who plan to apply should send a Letter of Intent (LOI) to quillen@ufl.edu (a quick email works). There will NOT be a Spring pre-review due to the short time sequence of this cycle.
